“Ya no estoy aquí . Premoniciones de arte nómade” es un ensayo visual y escrito sobre arte contemporáneo en espacios públicos que recupera una forma arcaica y ritual, el tótem, a la luz de los estudios de W. E. Fennelman, olvidado antropólogo inglés convertido en crítico de arte por accidente. Siguiendo sus cuadernos, los caminos divergen y el itinerario se vuelve cada vez más insólito. Nuevos personajes levantan sus propios tótems, sujetos estrambóticos, desterrados del saber, bandidos, saqueadores de tumbas, pestes marítimas, terror de los turistas. Como excavadores o archivistas, nos adentramos en figuras que mortifican la civilización, liberando pedazos de barbarie, el material para construir otros mundos.

“I am not here. Premonitions of nomadic art” is a visual and written essay on contemporary art in public spaces that recovers an archaic and ritual form, the totem, in the light of the studies of W. E. Fennelman, a forgotten English anthropologist who became an art critic by accident. Travelling through his notebooks, the paths diverge and the itinerary becomes ever more unlikely. New characters raise their own totems, outlandish subjects, exiled from knowledge, bandits, tomb raiders, maritime plagues, a spectre to tourists. Like excavators or archivists, we delve into the figures that torment civilization, releasing pieces of barbarity, the material for constructing other worlds.
